Aura Walden Digital Photo Frame Review

If you're like me and you take a lot of photos—whether it's high-resolution travel photography from a Fuji X-T5, X-T4, or the new X100VI—you've probably been looking for a beautiful, modern way to display your work. I’ve recently been testing out the Aura Walden Digital Photo Frame, and honestly, I’m seriously impressed.

Why I Chose the Aura Walden

I’ve been on the lookout for a premium digital frame for a while now, not just to display holiday snaps but also to showcase some of my professional photography at home. With camera sensors getting bigger and better, I wanted a digital frame that could do my images justice.

That’s where the 15" Aura Walden frame comes in.

First Impressions: Build and Design

The Walden is Aura’s largest frame yet, featuring a 15-inch HD screen (1600x1200) with a sleek black edge and classic white mount border—just like a gallery print. It’s elegant, minimal, and fits seamlessly into any room.

It can be mounted on a wall or placed on a tabletop, in either landscape or portrait orientation. It also comes with a premium braided power cable, which feels far more durable and stylish than what you get with most other frames on the market.

Display Quality and User Experience

The screen itself is fantastic: anti-glare matte finish, sharp resolution, and vibrant colours without looking oversaturated. It looks great even in bright rooms, and there’s virtually no distracting reflection.

Uploading images is simple—whether from your iPhone, Android, or desktop browser. One limitation is that you can only upload videos via the mobile apps, not the web version. However, I mainly use it for photos and love having a subtle slideshow running in the background.

I’ve added some of my recent drone shots and travel photography from Italy, and they honestly look incredible on this display. It adds a living, emotional layer to any space—far more dynamic than a static print.

There’s also a built-in speaker for video playback, but personally, I prefer to keep it on silent photo mode and enjoy the visuals as a passive backdrop.
