The Fujifilm X100VI has become one of the most talked-about cameras in recent years. Compact, beautifully designed, and capable of producing stunning images, it’s easy to see why. But for some photographers, that simplicity can eventually feel a little limiting.
This video is a first look at the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2.8 R WR mounted on the Fujifilm X-T5 — delivering the same 35mm-equivalent field of view, the same sensor size, and the same Fujifilm film simulations found in the X100VI.
The difference is flexibility. With the X-T5, you gain a more advanced camera body, dedicated photo and video controls, and the freedom to adapt the system to different shooting situations.
This setup mirrors the X100 shooting experience while removing many of the compromises. Screw-on ND filters are simple, switching between stills and video is immediate, and when needed, lenses can be changed.
If you love the look and feel of the X100VI but want more control and longevity, the X-T5 paired with the 23mm f/2.8 feels like a logical evolution.
